Used for acoustic guitar, mandolin, ukulele, violin, bass, cello, viola, and any wood instrument with strings and a soundhole.
Humidity is an issue that can affect your guitar. Because of the dissolved minerals in tap and bottled water, you should use distilled water instead of tap and bottled water in this product. A Brita filter can be used as a source of filtered water in a humidifier.

We recommend that you only use distilled water
Do you really need a guitar humidifier?
Basically, the answer is yes, you do. If you live in an area with little humidity year-round, then there is a little wiggle room, but it’s still a good idea to cover your bases by spending a few bucks on a humidifier.
The original humidifier for string instruments has been protecting wood instruments for over 40 years. Invented and patented in 1966 by profesional violinist and composer, Ralph Hollander, the instrument humidifier has protected the instruments of thousands of musicians worldwide.
