BRONZE GUITAR BYPASS RING FOR MUSICAL INSPIRATION
This bronze guitar bypass ring rocks out with style and musical inspiration. First, the guitar shape is lightly drawn with a pencil on a sheet of 20 gauge commercial bronze. Next, it is then cut out using a fine blade attached to a frame saw.
All sharp edges are then filed smooth. Then details such as strings and frets engraved into the bronze to complete the basic design.
The guitar is then placed diagonally over a steel ring mandrel. It is shaped into a perfectly round bypass ring by tapping and pound with a non-marring nylon mallet. For a little extra detail, a pewter black patina is applied to the engraved grooves for maximum contrast with the bright golden glow of freshly polished bronze.
Shown here in a ring size 7. The guitar measures about 2.5 inches in length and can be adjusted up or down a full ring size. First, each ring is handcrafted at the time of order, then you can simply note your ring size in the notes to seller box at check out. Last, the Artist will size the ring accordingly.
Custom engraving of very simple text such as a name or date is possible. It will go along the backside of the neck, and please do keep in mind that real estate is quite precious. So, short text or numbers would be the only option for personalization.

Bronze is an alloy that includes about 90% copper. Therefore, bronze will age much like a copper penny or copper jewelry. We like the appearance of aged and antique bronze, so the practice is not apply coatings or sealants to the metal. If the ring develops an unpleasant tarnish such as discoloration from caustic chemicals in some soaps and cleaners, the ring can simply be re-polished with a light cloth. In some cases, Ketchup makes a perfect safe and organic metal cleaner for removing tarnish on aged bronze. As an alternative to bronze, we also offer all our rings in 14k gold which will not tarnish or corrode and 18 gauge solid sterling silver.
